Marcus popping open the champagne(it was soooo good but it still gave me a headache the next morning)

Marcus told me he was taking me to a very nice restaurant to celebrate his new residency. Me being the naive fool, believed him and so we both got dressed up to go out and these are the pictures before we left for dinner. I got a new sexy black dress (white house black market) and an awesome new necklace for the occasion. Little did I know what he was scheming all along...

So, we get in the cab to go to dinner (he refused to tell me where we were going because it was a surprise) but when he gave the cab driver the cross streets I knew that it was Rockefellar Center. I thought we were going to the Sea Grill which is the restaurant right by the ice rink in Rock Center. Plus, earlier in the week, he was teasing me and giving me hints about dinner and said it started with an "S" so I thought surely it's the Sea Grill.Well, we get in the cab and he tells me to put a blindfold on - my first response was, it will ruin my hair and I will get car sick (I never get car sick except in a NYC cab!) and it was such a weird feeling to be blindfolded in a cab!!!
We got out of the cab and he leaves me on the sidewalk and is taking pictures of me with the blindofld on. I felt like such a moron. lol Then he led me to a building and through a revolving door into an elevator. (on a scale of 1 to 10 marcus gets a -14 as a seeing eye dog...I tripped on carpeting almost fell into the elevator, etc) While I was in the elevator, I knew we were going up high because my ears were popping and I kept asking him where we were going and of course, other people were in the elevator giggling at me - so embarrassing!!!!
When the elevator stopped and we got out it obviously sounded like a restaurant...
I'm out of the elevator, dying to know what's going on and Marcus places me against a wall and takes my coat from me telling me to stand and wait for him for a minute. He then actually has the gall to leave me standing there looking like a fool and takes another picture and then apparently he went to talk to the maitre'd
He eventually guided me to our table and told me to take off the blindfold and this is what I opened my eyes to....both of us cried immediately!!!! Such an amazing surprise and an awesome way for us to start the rest of our lives together!

Some pictures of Marcus and I after the "big question". I must be honest in saying I barely remember what we ate or if the food was any good, etc. I was beaming and so excited that nothing else really mattered!
The views from our table! Absolutely amazing! We were sitting on the 65th floor of 30 Rock. It is the only restaurant that sits that high up in the city. Not the most clear pictures, but you get the idea!

Because I was blindfolded on the way p to the restaurant, I did not get to see how beautiful the hallways or lobbies were. So, on our way out after dinner, I was amazed at how beautiful everything was and Marcus was laughing because he also forgot that I was blindfolded all the way up to dinner. Here are some pics of the lobby, elevators, etc. Cheesy I know.

This fountain is really very neat - it is all electric and was installed by some European company for the winter time in NYC. They did this special on the Today Show about it (I love the Today show and watch it every morning at the gym!)
A few "after engagement" pictures of a party that we had at our place Friday night to celebrate with our friends. We celebrated our engagement and Marcus and Josh's residency placements.

WOW!!!!! Congrats!!!! so you are engaged and moving to sryacruse??? Exciting! When is the wedding and where??? COlorado or NY?? or Saint A's?? :o) Sounds like an amazing night and a really cool engagement. YOu forgot to show us a pic of the RING!!!!
