Tonight was our two year "anniversary". Basically we do not have a specific aniversary of anything other than the very first night we met. The morning of our first meeting, January 29, 2006, I ran the Maimi half marathon, then went home to sleep and met Marcus around 7pm. Except for the fact that he was late, the restaurant we were suppose to meet at was booked and the wait would have been two hours...you get the story. We ended up at a lovely jazz club/restaurant on Lincoln road called "Van Dykes" and the rest is history... To celebrate, we went to Houston's on Park Ave. tonight for dinner and pretty much ate ourselves into a food coma. About those New Year's diets....

Another lovely morning at work - My boos called first thing to make sure that I got the results of his testicular scan from last week...do I have a real job or not???? Good God. I keep telling myself that this job is a lesson in life, humility, etc. I certainly hope so...
I am really into the marathon training this year. It is the fifth year running and my fifth year as a Dana Farber member. So I guess you could call it my five year anniversary. In commemoration, I had to post a picture of jake and his mom after a nice summer run. I don't think he's ready for a 22miler yet...hehe. The goal this year is to make it in under 4hours and raise $10,00so we'll see what happens. More than anything, I cannot wait for the 7am Saturday morning 22mile runs...Am I crazy?!?!

Happy birthday Timmy by the way! I cannot even believe you are 22 already!

So, we are new to this...I figure that it has been so hard to keep up with all of our friends, it might just be worth it to "blog" so that we can all keep in touch one way or another.

Another night in Manhattan. Walked home from work to the sound of cab horns blaring, loud MTA busses, while drinking in the aromas of foul garbage on the streets awaiting tomorrow's trash pickup and bad pet/human urine. Ahhhh life in the city...

Marcus was at another interview in Florida today - GO GATORS! I asked him if he saw Tebow, unfortunately he didn't. At any rate, he seemed very excited about UF and said that it was to be ranked #1 now as far as the residency match goes. UF would be great and Gainesville would be a good mix of partial seasons and much more financial stability.

I am still struggling with Jake's rashes. Originally we thought that it might be mites that he caught from the dog park. Now, the vet says that he has allergies, needs a special food diet for six weeks, and then possibly allergy testing....is this a dog or a child???? I have been a wreck, I cannot possiblyimagine the stress and worry that comes with children...perhaps I'm not yet ready for that step...

The real excitement for the night was the lovely state of the union address. The seventh and thankfully the last from our lvoely yet useless President George W. After being so closely involved with the 2004 campaign and Senator Kerry, I have a hard time really throwing myself into the cadidates and their "fake politics". November will be interesting.
